Taking place at Panther Island Pavilion, this event features a slew of family-friendly activities along Trinity River – including tubing, ziplining, water shows, live performances and fireworks. General admission is free, however, there are VIP tickets available that include access to an air-conditioned tent, VIP bars and parking.

 

Katy Freedom Celebration

If you’re looking for a casual family-friendly event, look no further than Katy Freedom Celebration at the Katy Mills Mall, just 30 minutes outside of Houston. Taking place on July 4th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., this free event is a child’s dream. From bounce houses and a dunking booth to snow cones and a petting zoo, families can enjoy the holiday in a fun and safe atmosphere, ending the day with fireworks and music at 9 p.m. It’s everything you could want in one celebration!
