At Carlton Staffing, we believe that giving back to the community is an important part of our responsibility as a local Houston business. Therefore, many years ago we created a Carlton Community Partnership Program where we volunteer every quarter for different non-profits in the Greater Houston Area.  Today, we had the pleasure of volunteering at Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), a non-profit organization that has been rescuing and sheltering animals since 1972.

CAP is a true advocate for animal rights, providing shelter and care, pet adoption, spaying and neutering, pet care counseling, lost and found pets, feral cat assistance programs, pets for senior citizens, and humane education. It is a one-stop-shop for animal enthusiasts! CAP offers important services that cost money, and your tax-deductible contribution to the organization is one of the best ways to give back to the community. Your donation can make all the difference in a pet’s life, from saving them from danger to finding them a safe and loving home.

During our volunteer event at CAP, we were able to see just how hard the staff works to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the animals. From feeding them and giving them baths, to playing with them and cleaning their kennels, the staff members at CAP were constantly moving to ensure that the animals received all the care they needed. We were fortunate enough to help out with dog-walking, and it was a truly rewarding experience. We walked about 16 dogs, played with them, and cuddled them. Sometimes all these sweet dogs really want is some belly rubs, neck scratches, and some baby talk! And we came to deliver. 😉

Overall, our volunteer experience at CAP was enlightening, and we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community. We encourage all animal lovers to get involved by volunteering, donating, or spreading the word about this vital organization. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless animals and give back to the community in a meaningful way!
