One highlight of our quarterly awards event is the presentation of the Heart of Carlton Award. This award holds a special place in our hearts as it symbolizes the essence of who we are as a company and honors the legacy of one of our own, Stephen Horton.

When Stephen joined Carlton in 2013, he brought with him not just twelve years of staffing experience, but also an unwavering passion for the industry. His innate nature to help others, coupled with his boundless enthusiasm, touched the lives of everyone around him. As a colleague, manager, salesperson, coach, father, husband, and friend, Stephen led with the heart of a servant, always prioritizing others above himself and spreading love wherever he went.

In March of 2021, we tragically lost Stephen, but his spirit continues to inspire us every day. To honor his memory and the values he embodied, we established the Heart of Carlton Award, which is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies Stephen’s remarkable qualities.

This year, we are proud to announce Beth Hammond as the recipient of the 2024 Heart of Carlton Award. Beth’s dedication, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the success of her team have not gone unnoticed. Throughout the year, she has consistently demonstrated the characteristics that made Stephen unforgettable:
